Xerox Connect For Apps
Role: UI Designer
Tools: Axure RP
This was the first professional; project I worked on at Xerox, it was a comprehensive update to an array of printer apps that allow the user to connect to Cloud Based services to either print or scan to. I designed both the Features and Screens, workflows, and wrote the documentation. As well as communicated with developers to fix bugs and add features over the 2 years of this project.

I led the redesign for all the Connect For apps for Xerox’s app gallery. This project was a full overhaul of multiple apps and solutions to update them to the new design system, as well as iterating features and screens. I started with the assembly of each individual feature, theme, and pattern for other designers to referencing when working on other applications. The screen above is the design for the Switchboard which allows the user to select the function the would like to perform.
After the foundations were created I worked with a fellow UI Designer to create the internal Browse feature screens and workflows. It was important that this step was done in collaboration to ensure robustness across applications and use cases. Iterations of the Search button and functionality were topics of discussion with both the Design team and the Developers to compromise on new standards and development challenges.
A heavy redesign of the application’s Main screen was done, as we moved away from an older pattern and design system. Through design meetings and mockups I came up with a more modern and simple design that allows the user to browse, edit their document, navigate back to the Switchboard, access their profile, reset, and start the job. Additionally not shown on the project page I designed additionally features such as, Preview for the App Gallery and a Build Job function. This app is used any time a user needs to connect to a Cloud Based service and was a challenging but rewarding professional project.
